English: I don't like action movies so much, it's not bad, just not my genre, yet this movie, one of several copies of JOHN WICK, really kept me captivated from start to finish. The story is not at all innovative: an American family man who was in a special force and must protect his family against bad guys in a violent and stylish way (plus, there's a bonus here, the enemy is the Russians). What do you want; why change a recipe that works I say to myself? The fight scenes were really good, not realistic to be honest, but realism isn't what you're looking for when watching this kind of movie, that's exactly the fun to watch, and throughout the film we want to know if he will be able to beat the 30 enemies (even if we always know that's yes, let's see... He is an American family man!) I found some beautiful scenes, sometimes there was a good play of light and shots, it surprised me since the film looked a bit cliché (cliché does not mean bad), but no, we feel that the director wanted to find his own identity. On the other hand, I didn't find the characters so well written, apart from the main character, the enemy and the grandfather (I don't know why him), you don't know the other characters so much. There are also the damned scenes of music and fights in slow motion... I was NOT CAPABLE ANYMORE! I find these kind of scenes really nice, but there, it just spoiled the suspense towards the end of the film, because EVERY time the main character played music, you knew there was going to be a fight scene, so no surprises and 99% of those action scenes were in slow motion... The movie lasts 1h30, and honestly, I really think all those scenes are for it to be full length, towards the end these slow motions became downright annoying and cringe... Apart from a few scenes that were too long and/or useless, and we didn't know the characters that well, it was still good, maybe because it was 5am, so I just wanted to clear my head and that worked out perfectly. Les scènes de combats étaient vraiment bien, pas réaliste pour être honnête, mais le réalisme n'est pas ce que tu cherches en regardant ce genre de film là, c'est justement là le fun à regarder, et durant tout le long du métrage on veut savoir s'il va être capable de battre les 30 ennemis (même si on sait toujours que c'est oui, voyons... C'était un père de famille américain!) J'ai trouvé quelques scènes belles, parfois y avait un bon jeu de lumière et de plans, ça m'a surprise vu que le film avait l'aire cliché un peu (cliché ne veut pas dire mauvais), mais non, on sent que le réalisateur à voulu chercher sa propre identité. Par contre, j'ai pas trouvé les personnages tant bien écrit, à part le personnage principal, l'ennemi et le grand-père (je sais pas pourquoi lui), tu connais pas tant les autres personnages. Il y a aussi les maudites scènes de musique et de combats au ralenti... Je n'étais PLUS CAPABLE! Ce genre de scènes je trouve ça vraiment magnifique, mais là, ça gâchait juste le suspense vers la fin du film, car CHAQUE fois que le personnage principal jouait de la musique, tu savais qu'il allait y avoir une scène de combats, donc aucune surprise et 99% de ces scènes d'action c'était au ralenti... Le film dure 1h30, et honnête, je pense vraiment que toutes ces scène sont pour qu'il soit d'une longueur d'un long-métrage, vers la fin ces ralenti en devenait gênant carrément... À part quelques scènes trop longue et/ou inutile, et qu'on connait pas tant les personnages, ça restait bien, peut-etre parce qu'il était 5h du matin, donc je voulais juste vider ma tête et ça l'a parfaitement fait le travail, un film à regarder pour se déconnecter de notre journée.
