About this movie

A neuron scientist and her husband discover a black-and-white 16mm film in the basement of a dilapidated hospital. The film documents underground experiments on a part of the human brain called the sylvian fissure in an attempt to gain insight into the “forbidden territory” - an invisible reality achieved through neither life nor death. Obsessed with this surreal concept, the surgeon tries to reconstruct what she saw by recreating the experiment...starting with her own daughters!
