About this movie

They're back! Four years removed from their previous adventures, the former Ghostbusters are under a restraining order, and have fallen to hosting cult cable talk shows (Bill Murray's Dr. Peter Venkman) and entertaining at children's birthday parties (Stantz and Zeddemore, played by Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson). Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), having broken up with Venkman, had a baby with another man, but the marriage dissolved. It is precisely 8-month-old Oscar, whose baby carriage mysteriously rolls off on its own, who prompts Dana to get in touch with the Ghostbusters to make a desperate plea for help. With a strange feeling about her co-worker--intense, quirky art restorer Janosz Poha (Peter MacNicol)--she realizes that the supernatural has once again invaded her life, and who's she gonna call? © 1989 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. Many people say that sequels suck, and while there are amazing or just really good sequels, sadly "Ghostbusters II" is not one. While most of the story was intriguing and Peter MacNicol was great, the comedy and clean(ish) material wasn't as good as its antecedent. Bill Murray and the rest still did amazing jobs, though. I wouldn't rewatch it, probably, but I don't do that much anyway. Good movie, though!

Ghostbusters II was never able to outlive the first film. However, it was able to recapture the magic that made the first one a great film and still be a good film overall. Most problems stem from the fact the film is way touch like the first one which isn't bad, but not enough to really please a lot of people. But despite this the film did gave us the awesome Run-D.M.C. version of the ghostbusters theme.

This was an excellent sequel. The Ghostbusters are more mature, but they still were very funny.
