About this movie

Rocky Balboa is a struggling Philadelphia boxer who is scorned by his gym's owner, patronized by a local loan shark and rebuffed by a shy 'plain-Jane,' whose butcher brother keeps engineering a romantic match. Rocky would have remained in this rut had not heavyweight champion Apollo Creed come up with the Bicentennial gimmick of fighting a sure-ringer...by touting the fight as a chance for a 'nobody' to become a 'somebody' and easily winning the bout himself. But someone forgot to tell Rocky... To everyone's surprise, Rocky trains earnestly. And in the climactic fight sequence, the 'Italian Stallion' gets his wish: to go the distance...against all the odds!

There were some slow parts in the movie. However, I really liked the movie. Silvester Stylone plays his part well and the setting in Philly really makes me appreciate what things were like back then. Happens when your born in the 90s I guess. Ha

Love the rocky films, watched them so many times on my dvd and never get bored of it. However the price on play store is little expensive, can get them cheaper from buying on amazon.

His best movie and it's actually well acted, more of a love story than a boxing movie really. Stallone's character is instantly loveable even when he's trying to be a thug he's doing it like a nice guy, i almost expect him to pay the guys debts himself. The training scenes are Great but the boxing is crazily over the top and just unbelievable, wouldn't happen today except in a Jason Statham movie.
