About this movie

Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Oscar® winner Kathy Bates star in this remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher. Teenager Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock). Learning that the young man is one of her daughter's classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael-wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter-come out of the cold. Without a moment's hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness becomes much more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. And as the family helps Michael fulfill his potential, both on and off the football field, Michael's presence in the Tuohys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. An amazing film about humanity with one of the finest casts assembled in the past 25 years. Disregard the hipster critiques of this film and enjoy it with your family. Can't miss performances from Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Kathy Bates, as well as a star making performance by Quinton Aaron bring to life a brilliantly written script that is an emotional rollercoaster guaranteed to bring you to your feet cheering before it's done. While some mistakenly claim that the performances of the principals outshine the material here, it feels exactly the opposite. It is the passion in these performances and the truth in the story that makes this an amazing movie experience.

It is a very amazing story about a homeless teen who had nothing but in time he gets an education, family and a roof over his head like any other normal family. Also they do not care about the color of their new son's skin he is no different from them. Truly an amazing story.

Wonderful movie of compassion, trust and shows what can happen when we have the willingness to share ourselves with each other. Also it is an example of what can happen when a boy trusted and worked hard to achieve. Well worth watching. It was exhilarating and yet very touching. Great job done by all the actors too. I watch it every month or so.
