About this movie

In this adaptation of Ian Fleming's 1955 novel, James Bond (Roger Moore) must thwart Sir Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale), who plans to wipe out all of humankind and replace it with a super race that he has cultivated in a massive space station. The girl in the case is American secret agent Holly Goodhead, intelligently played by Lois Chiles. Jaws, the steel-mouthed henchman played by Richard Kiel in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), makes a return appearance in Moonraker, turning good guy (complete with a girlfriend of his own) in the process. Bernard Lee makes his last appearance as "M" in this most costly of James Bond's 1970s escapades.

This one and Octopussy are without a doubt the corniest of the Bond films. This ones probably more so. Still worth 5 stars if you're a fan of the classics. If you're more into the new stuff this one probably won't be to your liking. This ones for the die hard Bond fans and its simply a fun film to watch. Not as serious as other Bond films though. The plot is WAY out there... 5 stars for the memorys.

This is without a doubt the best James Bond movie ever made!!!! Roger Moore's portrayal as 007 is so much fun to watch. Unlike the seriousness of Daniel Craig's Bond, Moonraker is an exciting adventure to watch. This film has it all: action with amazing stunt work, a brilliant bad guy (Hugo Drax) a kick ass henchman (Jaws) and the stunning Miss Holly Goodhead. This is what makes a good Bond movie. The fun and excitement of Moonraker is what has been missing for years in the franchise.
