I was looking forward to seeing this movie after all the hype from the trailer, but it left me feeling rather disappointed. No connection set up with these characters, they were all so dense and the acting wasn't the greatest, which was irritating to watch at times. Mostly predictable jump scares throughout as well as the plot which pretty much fell through. While I've seen way worse horror movies I still expected a whole lot more from this one.

We had these as kids the adult neighbors would use it seriously! Things came as predicted, really!years when buy, we had three boards, my mom read stories of terror on others fighting demon spirits from the board, she took our boards to break them, with three stacked together she slammed them across her knee and screamed as dropping those broken boards, what mom we said concerned! SHE YELLED, THEY BURNED, MY HANDS, MY HANDS, SHAKING HER HANDS, IT WAS REAL, SHE WAS NOT FAKING! HER REACTION WAS TO REAL!

It's not that bad you guys. It was a pretty good movie. The story line connected beautifully with the prequel that came out in 2016, I know it's actually a little cheesy and acting is bad at some parts but it was a good movie overall. This movie fails to actually scare you like the prequel does but the AMAZING storyline keeps you entertained. I give this film a B+. It was pretty good. And I recommend to any die hard horror fan. Also I loved Olivia Cooke in this movie.
