This movie is based on lies about the BP oilspill. These people, including Mark Wahlberg, made a Anti-capitalist propaganda film to make idiots like my mom believe that it was the fault of those executives at the company. Here are the facts: 1. The Executives didn't know this kind of thing would happen. 2. The Executives were being charged with manslaughter, when in reality they were doing THEIR JOB. 3. After the Oilspill, Obama didn't do squat. He just lied to the public to shift the blame on BP, when in fact it was the Government's fault for not doing anything about it. 4. You can not blame an industry for all the social ills we have because that is ignorant. Capitalism is the only Economic system that works. It is the Free Market that has led to creating Jobs and Wealth, It has brought true Freedom to the American Way of Life, and has other benefits to add to the list (World Peace, Discouraging Discrimination, Helping the Poor, Protecting the Environment, and Abolishing Slavery). So before you go into a movie based on lies and nonsense like this movie, please do your research before you believe the lies that have been presented in this movie. Greed is Good.

Before watching this film, the oil spill disaster hit home only as to the destruction it caused on the shores of my tri-state area (I live in Mobile, Alabama) and the heartbreaking sight of the bottoms of my feet being coated black after walking in the surf. I wasn't fully aware of the lives taken as a result of the rig itself. An eye-opening, respectful movie that pays tribute to history and the lives lost. Must see.

This gets the story out of these brave men and women who risk their lives to find oil to turn into gasoline and other byproducts for us the consumers to use to power our vehicles and other things. We need to keep this perspective in mind each time we fill up our gas tank at the gas station and say a prayer for all the men and women currently working on oil rigs. The actors did very well at portraying these brave men and women. I especially liked characters portrayed by Mark Wahlberg, Gina Rodriguez, and Dylan O'Brien. I've been watching Dylan O'Brien since he started his acting career on MTV's Teen Wolf, and I am happy to see him branching out and doing big movies like this and the Maze Runner Series. I was deeply upset when I learned he was injured on the latest set of the latest installment of Maze Runner, but am glad to hear that he is recovering well. He did an amazing job in this movie, Deepwater Horizon, and I will be recommending this movie to my friends and family. Brilliant Movie!
