The Counselor (Unrated Extended Cut)

I'm a total movie buff I'm every sense of the word. I can actually like a not so great movie just because its something new to watch and there are usually at least a few good aspects to them. I also don't ever write reviews. That being said I really hated this movie. It was confusing as hell. I tried to like it but couldn't. Not even worth the rent. Save your money.

Obviously this movie won't be for everyone but, for those that enjoy dialogue, suspenseful build up, and realistic consequences, then this is the movie for you. The actors are good, some more than others, the pace is slow but if you can make it through the first hour, then you got a wild ride ahead. Movie is very philosophical and like a quentin tarantino movie, the dialogue can be pretty heavy loaded. I'd give it a 3 out of 5, I like Ridley Scott films and this is a good flick if you can get into it.

One of my favourite films- if for nothing else - it's gritty, disturbing and realistic portrail of how greed can persuade you to go so far and cause you to fall so hard, all for a want. The characters are human, real, passionate, driven, demented and deadly. As in real life, when certain cards are played no one in the game is safe. Cameron Diaz's best performance imo, "Malkina" makes my heart race with fear and admiration at the same time.
