About this movie

Liam Neeson, Felicity Jones, and Sigourney Weaver star in this visually spectacular and stunningly emotional drama. Young Conor's life takes a turn after his mother (Felicity Jones) becomes ill and he moves in with his unsympathetic grandmother (Sigourney Weaver). As an escape, Conor turns to his artwork and conjures up a 40-foot-high monster (voiced by Liam Neeson) who becomes a most unlikely ally by guiding him on a journey of courage, faith and truth that powerfully fuses imagination and reality. Great film, Somber, hauntingly beautiful however it is unbelievably depressing and heartbreaking yet uplifting and heartwarming all at once. Yes this exact kind of story has technically been done better as in "Pan's Labyrinth"(In my top 30 films of all time) But this is still absolutely and undeniably breathtaking and wondrous to behold and Sigourney Weaver, Liam Neeson and the brand new actor playing Conor are all incredibly believable(however Sigourney Weaver's British accent takes a couple minutes for you to adjust and get used to it then all is well) and Felicity Jones is phenomenal with what little they let her work with in the script. All around a true masterwork of Fantasy Drama Cinema #professionalreview lol I deeply apologize :-) Have a lovely day and enjoy the picture, just make sure that you choose the right time to enjoy it and prepare yourself because it really does makes you feel pretty much every human emotion including(but not limited to) Happiness, Depression And Woe, Anxiety, Regret, Anger, Frustration, Sadness, Grief, Sympathy, Nervousness and Acceptance. Have a wonderfully bizarre, interesting, wondrous, odd, magical, fun, emotional and an incredible day:-) Twitter and FB is @harrymcallister if you wish to chat it up or are feeling depressed or blue/down or sad and need someone to talk to:-)

I hate this movie! I went on a field trip to see this garbage! Worst movie ever! DO NOT SEE THIS PIECE OF TRASH! I fell asleep because this movie was so stupid. I don't care about this broken plot. I'll be honest, hearing people say this is the best movie makes me cry. The book is just as garbage as the movie. I regret seeing that horrendous monstrosity. 0 stars. Rip-off of The BFG. The reason I didn't cry at all, is because I didn't care about the characters or the story. The monster was my most hated character. The 3 tales were more boring than Halo 5's campaign. In fact, I'd rather play Halo 4's multiplayer than watch that trash.

It's a sad tale that is wonderfully realized and it definitely doesn't pull any punches with its subject matter. I would say this is more geared towards older kids 10 and up but it is still more appropriate for younger kids than reading them the Grimm Fairytales.. those are some f***ed up stories. This story is it just about the cruel reality of mortality.
