About this movie

Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force – eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice.

I really wanted to like this movie, but it was meh. The killers who laughed in her face, their lawyer and judge who was the main reason for Garner to get revenge they didn't even show her killing them what a waste. I hated how they just showed us their dead bodies or mentioned they were killed. Then they wasted the whole movie killing all these random guys. This movie didn't fit her at all I'll never watch it again.

Jennifer has made part of her career playing kick-butt female characters; 5 seasons on Alias and in the PS2 video game, playing a CIA agent. Playing the assassin- Elektra in the movie Daredevil and in her own spin-off movie Elektra. Playing an FBI agent in the movie The Kingdom with Jamie Fox. And now in this movie playing a vigilante. In all, Garner is believable in these roles. She is the reason to watch Peppermint. 2 stars 4 the movie, another 2 because of her. She rocks as an action heroine.

*plot spoiler* Great story/idea and I love Jennifer Garner. It just didnt have enough to it though. I wanted deets. I was fully expecting to actually see her get revenge on the men who killed her family and it be something bad ass. It reminded me of Law Abiding Citizen, but wasn't nearly as good. It simply lacked. It played out fast.
