About this movie

Oscar® winner Robert De Niro ("Raging Bull," "Silver Linings Playbook") and Oscar® nominee Sylvester Stallone (the "Rocky" films, "The Expendables") play Billy "The Kid" McDonnen and Henry "Razor" Sharp, two local Pittsburgh fighters whose fierce rivalry put them in the national spotlight. Each had scored a victory against the other during their heyday, but in 1983, on the eve of their decisive third match, Razor suddenly announced his retirement, refusing to explain why but effectively delivering a knock-out punch to both their careers. Thirty years later, boxing promoter Dante Slate Jr., seeing big dollar signs, makes them an offer they can't refuse: to re-enter the ring and settle the score once and for all.

Which sums up the movie in one word. I only watched it because it had DeNiro and Stallone. Two great actors, a great storyline, but executed horribly. Sexual in nature and too much cursing. Has some funny one-liners. I actually wanted to ask for my money back, but figured $2.99 wasn't worth the call and time. Would never recommend this movie to anybody.

I'm a huuuuggge Rocky fan, and after hearing about this movie were Stallone (Rocky) and DeNior (Raging Bull) are in a boxing movie together; I had to go see it. I found it very funny (especially the Rocky references) and a little emotional as it was also a great father and son movie. Sure, Oscar winner Sylvester Stallone was nominated for a Razzie, but I really don't understand why, I found him great in this one. I recommend this to everyone, this movie will make you feel good down to your feet.

I expected this to be horrible. It ended up being very enjoyable. Nothing amazing from either of the old guys but the chemistry was hilarious. I view this movie as a straight up comedy riding the line and almost tipping over into spoof land.
