American Honey

This movie is a real treat, but let's get the facts out. This movie is in 4:3. This movie is almost 3 hours long. There are slower parts. The plot is straightforward. However, all of these things add up to a fantastic piece of art that tells the story of an underprivileged, homeless group of American youth. This movie isn't for everyone, but everything is done (yes, including the aspect ratio) in an aesthetic, almost vintage Americana feel. You have to love that to love this movie.

EXCELLENT~Its the American non dream, a kid on her own,looking to belong- somewhere, from the world that she knew- too soon. Living in less than ideal circumstances, she finds a group of kids nobody wants, like herself. The stars & supporting cast are amazing, seeming, just like themselves. The editing is fantastic, you can get a glimpse of yourself at 18, when you really didnt know, what makes people tick. Rated Mature - A winner !! A+++

Why the hell is this movie in 4:3 aspect! You know they have the technology for 16:9. Do people still own tube tvs! But to sum up this movie. I've never took drugs. Wacthing this, I now know what taking quaaludes is like! Oh but the saving grace in this movie is at the very end. Spoiler. The main girl in this movie. At the end, she burst out of the water, silhouette style, like a side shot of a siren. Dark, you can just make out her figure. And the shot pans up. Shes looking at fire flies!
