Caught between two worlds, a man who was orphaned in the African jungle as a baby and raised by apes has grown to rule and to protect the wild beasts, a hero known only as Tarzan. A huntress named Tanya (Patricia Morison) comes to the jungle to trap wild animals and sell into the permanent captivity of big-city zoos. Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller) tries to dissuade Tanya from taking the animals, but when Tanya's greedy partner, Weir (Barton MacLane), conspires with aspiring jungle despot Prince Ozira (Ted Hecht) to overthrow Ozira's benevolent uncle, Tarzan must call upon his animal friends to save Tanya--as well as Jane (Brenda Joyce) and Boy (Johnny Sheffield) in the adventure of Tarzan and the Huntress.
