A Promise

This movie was the worst period film I've ever seen. NOTHING HAPPENS. OMG snoozefest. The worst. I'd like to be more articulate but just trust me and do not watch this film.

Alan Rickman is my favourite actor so I'm really sad to see him in this movie. 😭 Great movie from Patrice Leconte!

I couldn't finish this movie. It wasn't the pacing or anything with the script. It was the camera work. However the camera person, the person in charge of the actual shooting of the film, and possibly the editor, need to find work elsewhere. Seriously, I don't think there is one moment where the shot holds still. Lady plays the piano? Looks like she's playing it on a ship in rough seas, instead of a nice home in Germany.
