The Reef

An animated ocean story that's deeper than the seashore, but, a lot more shallow than the abyss. It's not boring (it's very captivating), but it's not entertaining either. It has very little layers and depth. the animation is cheap, but, most of the characters are rather cute and appealing, some characters do look creepy and one character in particular looks menacing. This film heavily borrowed the elements from Shark Tale, Karate Kid, and Finding Nemo. the Music score is a great support for the film and has the flavor to grab the ears attention. It has a great choice of voice-actors, but the voice acting went from great to bad, and some voice performances aren't that memorable. It has solid to mediocre dialogue. The morals or positive messages in this film are sadly anchored because of it's plotting for it's genre, themes, and content (Prey vs Predator is a very interesting concept, But, only if they have been done right. This one has 3 elements about sharks being endangered species and caring for prey makes the movie confusing and contrived, even for a cartoon). Should we care for the predators or prey? In reality, predators are not the villains, they are an important aspect of nature. some moments of comedy are seen as funny but it's not strong enough to grab a laugh out of my system. The concept of what type of sea creature each character will be is extremely captivating. Kids will be introduced to different species of sea creatures in this film. For aquatic animal lovers and everyone else, it's not recommended. "Meh" at best. 2.5/5

My toddler loves it, he loves all the shark action in it. I didnt like it very much but it keeps my boy quiet for hours at a time so it gets 4 stars from me!

according too what i cee on the animation on here looked like dolls that were added in water this crappy design almost looks fake designed compared too the authour movies i played
