About this movie

They were known simply as "The Lost Boys". Orphaned by the brutal civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety. 15 years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3,600 lost boys and girls to America. Starring Oscar® winner Reese Witherspoon, their story of survival and triumph is brought to life by Oscar®-winning producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

This movie is trying to make people aware of issues in Africa with emotional type scenes. In the end, the whole thing is just asking for money donations as if it's the world's longest advertisement.

I didn't feel any real emotion here, the movie felt generalized & a bit generic. Experts say the lost boys & girls of Sudan, they are some of the most badly war-traumatized children ever, & I would liked to have seen the actors developed a little bit more.

I really enjoyed this touching story. The fight to survive, and the struggles to keep a family together. It opened my eyes to how I take simple things for granted (ie escalators). I felt many emotions throughout this film. Wonderfully done.
