About this movie

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal... Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — five tons of weapons-grade plutonium, far more than enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way....

This film was just as bad as the first. Its pretty bad when acting ability is second fiddle to botox injections. Sure, there were some laughs and plenty of action, but the presence of such geriatric men, trying so hard, trumps any of the good things in this film (Jason Stathum, Terry Crews, Scott Atkins). Also, the score is old bluegrass rock and roll. Semi out of sorts for all film attending generations. Unless you are greater that 50 years old, or you can't find Red Sonia on Netflix, skip this one.

Watched it yesterday. You would think a movie with all those action stars would have a halfway decent script. Horrible screenplay. There was less action than an amish wedding. JCVD should have done more fight scenes and Chuck Norris' appearances were awkward. I don't expect an Oscar caliber actor, but I've seen these guys act better. Had the movie zoomed through with nonstop action then I probably would have given it 4 or 5.. The camera work looked like a college kid directed it. No varying angles, bland.

Straight up, I was kinda bored watching this movie. However, this movie packs heavy celebrity power, I guess my expectation was too high because of that? There is action and all but i felt it was quite predictable. I enjoyed the first one and this is one of those movies where they probably should have only made the first one and left it alone. I'm always going to be a huge Stallone, Arnold, Willis and Van Dam fan. My expectations simply exceeded what this movie delivered.
