About this movie

DRAGON TATTOO TRILOGY: EXTENDED EDITION contains more than two hours of additional footage not seen in the theatrical versions of the original Swedish films (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE and THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET'S NEST). Amassing a total of 9 hours of story content and presented in 6 parts, this complete version of the international hit series restores notable characters and subplots from Stieg Larsson's best-selling novels, most significantly in the portrayal of Erika Berger (Lena Endre), the editor of MILLENNIUM magazine as well as Mikael Blomkvist's friend and occasional lover. Starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, the DRAGON TATTOO TRILOGY: EXTENDED EDITION is the quintessential set for lovers of the books and a must-have for fans of the film trilogy.

Excellent movie well acted enjoyed the characters. I haven't seen the american version to compare but I doubt it's better. I do warn you there are 2 EXTREMELY CRINGE WORTHY SCENES. I REPEAT 2 CRINGE WORTHY SCENES. You've been warned. I look forward to watching playing with fire n Hornets nest next. There are subtitles but after a few min you adjust n the movie is 3.5 hrs it took me 3 days lol.

Not only outstanding actors but casting well written well portrayed well-developed characters, and an in-depth insight into each character. Even the ending was spectacular. I must say the United States version of this not only pales in comparison but pales in every way. This version along with the following two movies in the series are just brilliant and a must see for all.

This is a powerful film; the acting is superb and it follows the books not perfectly, but well enough. I could never watch the American version, as the Swedish version simply cannot be beat. I have watched all three in the series multiple times and enjoy it each time, despite the subtitles. This is a killer movie with a killer cast.
