About this movie

In this explosive story of revenge and urban violence, Charles Bronson plays Paul Kersey, a bleeding-heart liberal who has a change of opinion after his wide and daughter are violently attacked by a gang of thugs in their apartment. His daughter is raped, and his wife is raped and murdered. Bronson then turns vigilante as he stalks the mean streets of New York on the prowl for muggers, hoodlums and the like. Death Wish is a violent, controversial film that is frank and original in its treatment of urban crime and the average citizen's helplessness in dealing with it. Herbie Hancock wrote the musical score. And watch for a young Jeff Goldblum in his film debut as one of the thugs.

They just don't make GREAT movies like this anymore. I'm a firm believer of street justice. If more people were to think and act like (Paul Kersey) Charles Bronson,it would be a much safer world to live in. If there were more vigilante's, the "bad guys" would think twice before acting on their dangerously impulses.

Great movie, early Jeff Goldbloom punk role. Charles Bronson from working in coal mines to Man with a Camera > tunnel king to vigilante. Tough guy, looking to right wrongs. The character inspired others, in the movie, to fight back. Today, through weakened judicial system and no bail spreading maybe Paul was the man with the plan? You have a society where people can live free or exist in terror. Kersey decided that the system degenerated & he'd had enough.Did something about it. Let's go Brandon

This is one of the most popular movies Charles Bronson starred in, unfortunatelly, he just got stuck doing sequels like Anthony Perkins did with Psycho.
