About this movie

Master of horror Wes Craven directs this exciting visual treat, which introduces a diabolical mass murderer who harnesses electricity for unimaginable killing powers. About to be electrocuted for a catalog of heinous crimes, the unrepentant Horace Pinker (Mitch Pileggi) transforms into a terrifying energy source. Only young athlete Jonathan Parker (Peter Berg), with an uncanny connection to Pinker through bizarre dreams, can fight the powerful demon. The two dive in and out of television programs, chasing each other from channel to channel through stunning scenes of disaster, game shows and old reruns. A blend of dazzling special effects, jolting humor and an electrifying soundtrack, Shocker is an ironic tale of terror and madness in the video age.

A horror hodge-podge with everything coming at you, including the bloody bathroom sink! Told half serious, told the other 1980s MTV/Looney Tunes style with TV footage & breakneck speed editing. Craven, losing control on the rights of his brillant horror masterpiece 'A Nightmare on Elm Street.' Tried to strike lightning twice. He failed but not entirely. Shocker is super fun but never scary. Psycho killer Horace Pinker is totally unrestrained and final guy Peter Berg is the dude we root for👍

Think of it, their both killers who got fried in some form, they both came back from the dead as demons seeking revenge, they can both enter dreams, they both got defeated by their own kid, etc etc.

This one is rough. The story, characters and dialogue are pretty bad. The scenes do not flow and there's nothing scary about it.
