About this movie

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and OmniCorp -- the world's leader in robot technology -- sees a golden opportunity to reap billions for their company.  When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) -- a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit -- is critically injured, OmniCorp grabs their chance to build a part-man, part-robot police officer.  OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and will stop at nothing -- no matter the cost to Alex -- to make sure the program succeeds.  But OmniCorp never counted on one thing: there is still a man fighting inside the machine.

Acting terrible, story terrible, special effects good. So I'll give it two stars for the special effects. The movie was god awful, I grew up watching Robo Cop on TV when it came on as a kid, so thought I'd give this a watch my god was this movie horribly done, I was very disappointed in this remake it was crap and made RoboCop 3 actually look good, and that was the worst in the RoboCop series! If you grew up with RoboCop as a kid and liked them or you like the RoboCop movies and are a fan don't watch this!

Better remake then some but after watching a couple of times it doesn't hold up to the original. CGI looked good but the story needed work. The original was a typical 80's scifi movie with a satire to the way of life in that fictional world, gore and violence, like Terminator or Total Recall minus Arnold. This one had other motives. Trying to please all the wrong audience. So an x rated movie when I was a kid gets replaced with a PG13 movie when I am a adult. Worth seeing both movies, make your own opinion.

Ok but original still better. This one needed the Rambo/Expendables type look and feel to make it a 5 star. Sammy didn't seem to good in this one, nor Keaton. Could tell they didn't care to much about this one to give it 100%. Effects was the only thing that made this worth the watch but had R1 been made with these effects, there would have been no comparison.
