About this movie

A race-car driver named Bandit (Burt Reynolds) makes a bet that he can transport an illegal shipment of beer from Texas to Atlanta in under 28 hours. Along the way, he picks up an unwilling bride-to-be (Sally Field), furthering his chances of being arrested. It turns out her future father-in-law is Sheriff "Smokey" Justice (Jackie Gleason), and his boy is waiting for her at the altar. A car chase ensues as Smokey scours the South in pursuit of Bandit.

I watch this movie all the time with my dad. It never gets old, its a classic. Both me and my dad know every word. I just love it!!!!!! My favorite part is either when snowman runs over the bikes with his truck or when Buford T. Justice of texas says "The first thing I'm gonna do when I get home home is punch your mama in the mouth 😂😂

This movie made Pontiac famous in the gas crunching emission 70s of an era This movie inspired my buddies and I to drive aimlessly around in the late 90s blaring grunge in our late 70s giant Ford's with cb's installed on the roof. Gotta love Burt Reynolds and rest in peace Jackie Gleason

this movie captures most of the truckers attitude in one picture, many different scenes can capture different aspects of a real truck driver on the road. the many different things has been experienced by every experienced truck driver, at least once. this is why smokey and the bandit is so very popular to many people, they capture the once unspoken brotherhood of truckdrivers that used to span the country, now if you look at the truck drivers that span the country, the people that make it up are babbling, bumbling, band of chaotic people who constantly look for their opportunity to attack each other, rather than an opportunity to help someone, or be a part of something bigger for the sake of helping people. this movie captures a great type of people, in many different scenes, some chiefly the type of person who drove with their brothers. not a literal brother mind you, if you have been reading this literally, im sorry, but you're probably very confused right now, and probably angry.
