Sam’s having a bad trip home. There’s nobody at any rest stops, and his wife won’t take his calls. When his car breaks down, Sam steps out and sees a strange red light in the sky. I love is movie
Classic wrong place, wrong time story. There is one particular theory in the reviews that I agree with, otherwise the red light would mean absolutely nothing.
Two things right off the bat: I liked this movie a lot; not sure I fully understand what happened. About half way through I thought I had it fully figured out (no spoilers here, I was wrong)- he inadvertently killed his child and created his own hell to live in. As I was singing my own praises and admiring how great a plot it was, turns out I was dead wrong. Again, not 100% sure I get it, but F me it was fun to watch. And for the Re-Re’s who have a limited mental capacity- sometimes you have to watch a plot develop. If a dead orphan jumps out of every possessed priest it would become boring.
