About this movie

From Donald P. Borchers comes the resurrection of the most unholy shocker of all: Itメs 1975, and a young married couple ラ Vietnam vet Burt (David Anders of ALIAS, HEROES) and preacherメs daughter Vicki (Kandyse McClure of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) ラ are driving cross-country straight into the heartland of Hell. Here in Gatlin, Nebraska, the townメs bloodthirsty children ラ led by the boy preacher Isaac and his teen enforcer Malachai ヨ have slaughtered all adults by command of He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Now two new outlanders have arrivedナ and The Time Of Sacrifice is at hand. Preston Bailey (DEXTER) and Daniel Newman co-star in this brutal and chilling re-imagining of Kingメs infamous tale, featuring graphic footage not seen in the television broadcast.

Most (if not all) films have their flaws and this one is no exception. Its not in any way, shape, or form, better than the 1984 adaptation of king's short story. The acting is not perfect and the camera constantly zooms in on objects with no purpose or relevance to the overall plot. Despite this, I also don't think it's any worse than the 1984 version, which also had a few flaws of its own. I feel that this movie is decent in that it does exactly what it's supposed to do: scare. Also the main characters, while not perfect in their performance, are still entertaining. Even relatable at times. In my opinion, if I can relate to the characters in any movie, it not only makes the movie believable, but also makes it worth the purchase. And, in the end, this movie was not only worth the money, but also worth the viewing! 4 stars!

This is so much better than ANY of the other corn films, it's staggering. It's also so much better than ANY Stephen King film it's astonishing. It definitely has the gritty Michael Bay feel and is a Texas Chainsaw version of children of the corn, but it is just so good. Kandyse Mcclure is always a radiant presence of love, even playing a bitter spouse on a miserable road trip with a broken husband. This one stays truer to the script and is somewhat different, but it is PHENOMENAL. They also show a little bit more of the corn gang's rituals, which lends a satanic atmosphere. This is Children of the Corn DONE RIGHT!

The black girl was irritating beyond belief. I was hoping they would off her character off fast. I truly hated her. They should of at least showed how everything started like the original. There was no aspect of this film that I liked. What was laughable was when she threatened to get her husband locked up for hitting her. During those times, they wouldn't of arrested him just based on the fact that she was black. A classic like the original should of never been remade
