About this movie

In 1429, a 16-year-old girl from a remote village stood before the world and announced she would defeat the world's greatest army and liberate her country. It began as a small voice in the heart of a simple girl...but as the voice grew stronger, rulers were drawn to listen, armies were empowered to fight and her countrymen were inspired to believe. From Columbia Pictures and internationally acclaimed director Luc Besson comes the story of Joan of Arc, the woman who followed her own path and changed the course of history. © 1999 Gaumont. The only part worth watching is the end. Perceptions, Beliefs and ideology. How many wars are fought in the name of religion? I do believe only one commandment is needed, Do unto others as you would have done to you . The rest is questionable. This is an under rated actress.

Like all Besson films, truly an iconic and masterpiece of film. Milla Jovovich nailed the role as Joan of Arc, and what a saint Joan was, and what she had to endure. A true hero, who stood her ground to the best she could, had a message, and delivered it. Joan was human, and like all not perfect, but she was devoted, and had to endure injustice, but her loyality stood above all. Honestly what a film it was, such a perfect cast, soundtrack, and portrayal of the story and history of Joan of Arc.

Masterpiece film by Luc with Milla nailing the role as Joan of Arc. What a saint & true hero Joan is, an inspiration, with all that she had to endure. Never backed out, always stood her ground to the best she could. Had a message sent by God, and delivered it. Devoted, always remaining loyal to God, always confessed to her sins, endured injustice & much more. A film with such a perfect cast, soundtrack, and portrayal of the story and history of Joan of Arc. A film I felt through heart & emotion.
