About this movie

Welcome to idyllic Morioh, whose ocean views and charming townscapes make it a breezy Japanese utopia. But a chain of grisly killings has cast a bloody pall of uncertainty over its residents, especially Josuke Higashikata, a high schooler with offbeat hair and even more eccentric abilities. Now, with his grandfather on Morioh's homicide list, Josuke must resort to his surreal ""Stand"" powers if he ever hopes to heal his beloved family and town. Josuke may have a Stand-wielding relative at his side, but the killer has plenty of help too.

It is literally one of those movies you and your friends make as a group project at school and it's good but not for a JoJo movie like only Koichi feels like Koichi and the others are like cost players. They are just acting. But you can feel the Koichi's Koichiness. Also stands are poorly made. The models from the ps1 game was better. This thing is nothing near Bizarre and it lowers the original JoJo quality A LOT.

If your a JoJo fan you'll love the movie. They made some great improvement to the story since it being such a short movie but something feel off when watching it. The CGI looks very poor on stands such as star platinum, crazy diamond and sheer heart attack but look very good for stands such as bad company and aqua necklace. The acting isn't the greatest I've seen and costumes need major improvement. But it's still worth watching if you love JoJo.

It's pretty campy at times (which is good or bad depending on your taste). The effects are at the very least decent, even if the stands look a little weird. Despite Yukako's involvement in later arcs, there wasn't much of a reason for her to be in this movie, and it feels like she's here if for no other reason than "it would be weird if she just showed up later". Pacing was quite a bit better than I expected. Strong characterization even if the writing does feel a little odd at times. If you've got a couple hours to spend and you liked Diamond is Unbreakable, I'd say it's worth the watch. Definitely would go out of my way to see the sequel.
