We watched this with our children and it was a wonderful movie! The only version of Lassie I was familiar with was the old TV show. This was far better! It is certainly a heartwarming tale, but it also offers a great chance to talk about issues you'll face in life: loyalty, friendship, heartbreak, loss, tough times and more. One of my children was heartbroken when the dog that belonged to the peddler was killed while defending his owner. But he saw redemption when Lassie finally made it home to Joe! This is a great movie for the entire family and we look forward to watching the others in the series.

This is a great family classic (& THE biggest tear jerker!), while completely timeless. โŒš Besides the well trained & beloved Collie, Lassie, we are mesmerized & captured by the TOTAL beauty of Liz Taylor; even at this young age. ๐Ÿ™Œ
