About this movie

A writer lays gravely wounded from an African hunting accident and he feverishly reflects on what he perceives as his failures at love and writing. Through his delirium he recalls his one true love, Cynthia Green. His neglected wife Helen tends to his wounds, endures his talk of lost loves, and tries to restore in him the will to fight his illness until help arrives. With his realization of a chance for love and happiness with Helen, he regains his will to live.

A sweeping, gorgous, shot on location classic that doesn't dissapoint, even if some stuff looks chessy. I don't know if I remembered/knew it was a short story and that the story was by the great Hemingway but now I want to read the short story.

Please don't waste your money or time. My Dad and Mom saw this movie and said that it was horrible. It's not well scripted and very hookey and nowadays be considered very low budget. My Mom and Dad were glad that it was over. It's not worth the money or time and it is a love story that switches between time eras. It's not an action adventure movie at all. There is absolutely no juice at all. Slow as molasses. Please steer clear and avoid like the dickens no matter what the cost is. Again, as mentioned above at the beginning of this review, it's a waste of money and time.
