I haven't finished three series and it may take a while. I have read the book several times and so unfortunately this is a comparison, which may be unfair. If you loved the book and just have to see the series, this may be a good review to read. I don't think I could have seen shadow as black. I think it is because of his aliases. It's not a big deal though. The series comes off as a constant acid trip or visual effects show. Gratuitous sex scenes that add nothing to the story nor in the book. Shadow character seemed so angry compared to the gloomy guy in the book and he is more nihilistic than the book. In the book he almost never asks why he needs to do something. It is so prominent a characteristic that Wednesday comments on it. My wife has never read the book and said she would also have given it 2 stars based on what she saw

I was intrigued by this series. I had no idea what I was getting into, as I have not read the book and only had the online trailers promoting the series to form the base of some characters. I was blown away. But I didnt already have the story played out in my head by reading the book. I loved the series so much I bought the book.

The show is great. I wish I had purchased the series from VUDU. The audio is terrible! When casting to my television, only background music is heard. I have the same problem when casting any movie (linked Movies Anywhere account) through Play Movies app.
