The Week is the story of Dick Romans --a washed-up TV host whose wife leaves him the day before their week-long, ten year anniversary celebration in wine country. Dick finds himself alone with his thoughts, his dog, a bunch of catered food and a ton of booze. So he decides to go through with the week-long party... by himself. The seven event-filled days become Dick's reluctant vision quest. Everyone thinks they know what’s best for him; his atheist author friend, his new-age lawyer, his out-of-touch record-producer brother, even his pot-head tennis instructor. Then Dick meets Lenny, a local chef and single mother, and they discover a string of coincidences that tie them together in a surprising and undeniable way. But their budding attraction is complicated by Dick’s tenuous marital situation, Lenny’s painful past and her comically blunt 10-year-old son. Through the week, Dick starts to see deeper into his life. He realizes he’s not really the person he though he was... and he decides he doesn’t have to keep going down the wrong path.
