About this movie

A psychopathic mastermind (Gerard Butler of GAMER, 300) captured for the murder of his wife's killers threatens to unleash a gruesome killing spree across the city of Philadelphia unless he is released. The prosecuting attorney (Jamie Foxx of THE SOLOIST, THE KINGDOM) refuses and suddenly innocent people start dying in horrifying ways - just as the prisoner warned. The city falls into chaos, with everyone calling for the attorney's head. Desperate, he comes to the realization that his decisions might be what created this horrifying vigilante, and he is the only one who can stop him.

Excellent movie. The critics hate it and the "people" love it. Typical. The critics hate everything which is probably why they are critics -- losers with no talent so they just insult those with the talent. Meanwhile I was rooting for Clyde (Butler) the whole time even though I felt sorry for those he killed. I never liked Nick (Foxx) with his arrogance and inability to feel the horror of the husband/father where no justice was done. Disappointing ending but not sure what would have been an appropriate ending.

Would've given 4 stars but the writers and/ or director totally p**** out in the end. It's a slap in the face and doesn't fit the rest of the movie at all. The ending really makes the whole movie feel pointless and denies the viewer any closure or satisfaction. Sucks cause it was really good up to that point but the ending completely undoes all of it.

This movie is great, and would be my favorite movie if not for the ending. Sure, it proves that the justice system is poor, but by the end, that point is dull, and waters down. By trying to throw too much action into the twist, I felt that they strayed away from what could have been an amazing ending. Instead, they flip the whole thing upside down, and deliver an ending in which the currupt justice system remains unchanged. Overall, awesome movie with exception of the end.
