Not for the faint of heart. Extremely well done both with the dialogue and the acting. Gibson and Vaughn are great together. It's also a nice return of Vaughn to a more dramatic role. I recommend this movie to those who enjoyed "No Country For Old Men" or any of Quinton Tarantino's movies... not that they are similar in style but for the amount of violence you can expect.

I really wanted to like this movie! I am a pretty decent fan of both Vaughn and Gibson and was hoping this was going to be a kind of dark buddy cop comedy type thing. Boy was I wrong!! The pace and subject matter are so slow I found myself pausing it from time to time just to see how much longer there was. Either that or I would nod out. This was terrible. I want my $$ back!!

Slow burn cop drama. Reminds of Narc (2002) and other grimey dramas. Doesn't use any music or soundtrack to stir the emotions. You just witness the events as they unfold. No slo-mo. Excited to see what else Zahler can pull off.
