About this show

"Royal Pains," centers on young doctor Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein - "What Women Want," "In Her Shoes," "Good Morning Miami") who seems to have it all ... thriving career, beautiful girlfriend, and swank NYC apartment. With one fateful and principled decision in the ER, Hank loses it all. Months later, single and blacklisted from the medical community, Hank goes for a weekend in the Hamptons with his brother (Paulo Costanzo - "Joey"). Crashing a party at a mega-mansion on the beach, Hank jumps into action when a guest requires medical attention that only he is able to diagnose. The next morning, Hank is summoned to another mansion - and then another. Hank's career is revived, but in a way he's not exactly happy about, as he becomes a "doctor for hire" to the rich, famous and infamous.

Great show. Always look forward to the next episode. Also they frequently tape around me so I've seen many scenes being taped and have met much of the cast and crew (including Henry Winkler... who was quite possibly the nicest and most down to earth celebrity I've never met). Looking forward to the 2 hour "movie event" in December.

This a very Addictive show, the cast was great, it meet every drama status quo, the guest appearances from top actors and mutual actors from other films made it exciting, it was ER meets the beach, now those who have been giving it 1 stars evidently don’t have a life or are too young such as this Danielle who says she is 11 and thinks it’s gross, apparently she has never been in a ER room, yet she watches The Vampire Diaries, which talks about sex and other things little girls shouldn’t be watching or hearing about
