About this show

"Royal Pains," centers on young doctor Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein - "What Women Want," "In Her Shoes," "Good Morning Miami") who seems to have it all ... thriving career, beautiful girlfriend, and swank NYC apartment. With one fateful and principled decision in the ER, Hank loses it all. Months later, single and blacklisted from the medical community, Hank goes for a weekend in the Hamptons with his brother (Paulo Costanzo - "Joey"). Crashing a party at a mega-mansion on the beach, Hank jumps into action when a guest requires medical attention that only he is able to diagnose. The next morning, Hank is summoned to another mansion - and then another. Hank's career is revived, but in a way he's not exactly happy about, as he becomes a "doctor for hire" to the rich, famous and infamous.

It's a good show, entertaining enough, just not enough for me to purchase on here. For the person giving this 1 star because she has to pay for it and claims she doesn't have to pay on tv. You pay for cable or satellite and then have to deal with commercials too, right? This is something of a digital version of buying dvd's. For the others who are giving various ratings but typing in jumble for the review, grow up already. You shouldn't be allowed to purchase anything if you aren't mature enough to know how to behave.

But only 8 episodes a year! Why bother, seasons over before you know it. Just leaves a weak plot line hurried plot arcs...sigh it was over two seasons ago...

This was an awesome show for 6 seasons. Until, it had to jump on the so called bandwagon and write a show with an issue that doesn't exist. When are all these writers going to stop promoting social issues that don't exist!
