About this show

Killing Eve centers on two women: Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade security services operative whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.

Don't fall for it. I like Sandra Oh. I like the premise. But that is all it has going for it. This is the most nonsensical, annoyingly plotted waste of time. Nothing makes sense - the characters' motivation is either incredibly goofy or just... non-existent. I watched the whole thing (hey I bought it), hoping it would make some sort of sense or have a big pay out moment. Nope! Go watch Luther again instead. I sincerely hope I just saved you $15 and a whole lot of frustration.

The new writer does NOT understand the series.. The women were clever, funny, well dressed. In any situation they managed to come out on top with a sense of style about it. They pushed forward an interesting, inventive story line. Now, the women are victims, of mothers, bosses, guilt. REALLY, this is how you want to play it. As if down trodden women is not shown to us enough. The deaths were an uninspired gimmick. It feels like bland oatmeal , lost in a sea of oatmeal of current society.

I loved the depiction of Villanelle and Eve. The show is weird but I loved it. In fact it was kind of cathartic. I can imagine that the dudes reviewing it didn't get it- it's completely centered on (non-traditional) women.
