Popeye The Sailor: 1933-1938

Popeye and Olive Oyl go to a carnival and Bluto follows. / Olive and Wimpy are attacked by Indians while Popeye is out duck hunting. / Riding on the back of a whale, Popeye lands in Mexico.

Popeye takes Olive Oyl to the Rodeo where the Great Bluto is the main attraction. / Popeye and Olive Oyl go ice skating and all is well until Bluto arrives. / Floating on a raft, Popeye and Olive Oyl land on a jungle island.

Rough and tough Popeye plays nurse-maid and takes his duties seriously. / Popeye challenges Bluto, the Champ, in the ring. / Popeye learns his girl friend Olive Oyl has gone away with a "young man on a flying trapeze."

Olive is a nurse in a hospital division of the "Bruiser Boys Club" where newcomers are dared to join. / Olive Oyl, the proprietress of a blacksmith shop, fires her assistant Wimpy and advertises for a strong, handsome, willing assistant. / Popeye proceeds to teach the children at Olive Oyl's Health Farm a thing or two about the merits of spinach.

Popeye is attracted to an old weather-beaten ship bearing a sign "Ghost Ship - Beware" and he explores it with Olive Oyl and Wimpy as his unwilling companions. / Popeye challenges Bluto for throwing Olive Oyl into the river. / Popeye and Bluto are awaken from their sleep by the sound of Olive Oyl sleepwalking.

Bluto and POPEYE, rival volunteer firemen, answer an alarm at Olive Oyl's house. Olive is trapped on the roof. Bluto knocks POPEYE down to save Olive. POPEYE fortifies himself with spinach and rescues both Olive and Bluto from the roof. Once he realizes Bluto is all right, POPEYE proceeds to teach him a lesson. POPEYE and Olive Oyl enter a dance contest but are not doing well since POPEYE is clumsy... Bluto, a gigolo, cuts in and dances gracefully away. A gulp of spinach and POPEYE'S feet start a rhythmical tapping. Bluto pushes POPEYE off the dance floor and the battle begins. POPEYE and Olive open a restaurant and their first customer, Wimpy, enters to prove to Bluto he can get a hamburger for free. Encouraged by Wimpy's success, Bluto tries the same thing but instead of POPEYE trusting him, they end up in quite a battle.

Popeye and Olive sing their way through this cartoon in operetta style. / Popeye and Olive see Bluto driving a wagon hitting his weak-looking horse because he cannot pull the wagon. / Popeye and Bluto, rivals for Olive Oyl's affection, call on her bearing gifts.

Popeye and Olive enter a theater where "Bluto, the Great Hypnotist" is playing. / Excitement prevails with Popeye and Olive as joint owners of a pawn shop; Wimpy is a policeman; and Bluto is a suave, dignified scoundrel instead of his usual rough unkempt self. / Popeye decides he needs a wife and rushes to a matrimonial bureau where he selects Olive Oyl's picture.

Popeye and Bluto are tug-boat owners with Olive as Popeye'S assistant and Wimpy as Bluto's. / Olive and Popeye are spectators at a football game in which Bluto leads a team composed of large husky players against a team of small thin players. / Popeye and Bluto strive for the title "King of the Mardi Gras," with the best man winning the title and Olive Oyl.

Popeye and Bluto admire Olive Oyl as she sings "I Want A Clean-Shaven Man." / Popeye tries hard to live up to the doctrine of brotherly love, as preached by Olive Oyl. / Popeye and Olive Oyl, trying to climb a high snow-covered mountain, are thwarted at every turn by the villainous Bluto.

Popeye becomes angry with Bluto for throwing Wimpy into the water because he hasn't got his ferry fare. / Wimpy's passion for hamburgers causes Popeye and Bluto to have their biggest battle. / A lifeguard is needed at the local pool and Bluto and Popeye apply for the job.

Olive Oyl is moving and Popeye shows up to help. / Popeye'S sweetheart Olive Oyl goes in for boxing lessons and when she catches her teacher flirting with Popeye she steps out and gives the teacher an excellent demonstration of boxing. / Popeye tackles lions, bears, snakes and countless other animals chasing after Swee'pea at the zoo only to find himself the victim of an assault by Olive for scaring Swee'pea with a toy on their arrival home.

Bluto's sneaky work over the telephone wires leading to Olive's home gets Popeye in trouble with her. / Popeye arrives in a beat up roadster to take Olive Oyl for a ride only to find Bluto there in a sleek new car. / After seeing Olive Oyl gaze spellbound at an Army poster picturing a handsome uniformed soldier, both Popeye and Bluto try to enlist.

Nurse Olive Oyl tells Popeye and Bluto that she cannot take care of them unless they are really hurt. / An exciting baseball game pits Popeye against Bluto as captains of opposing teams. / Popeye temporarily drops his nautical air to become a night club dancer, all for Olive's sake.

Little Swee'pea wanders into a busy factory, and by luck just manages to escape being killed by various crushing, grinding and cutting machines. / Olive elopes with Bluto in his plane, only to realize that she still loves Popeye. / Popeye'S pal Swee'pea causes consternation when Olive Oyl is unable to stop him from crying and she calls upon the sailor man to help.

POPEYE, Olive and Wimpy are shipwrecked on Sinbad the Sailor's (Bluto) tropical island. Sinbad sees Olive as his queen but she rebuffs him. A furious Bluto battles a jealous POPEYE, with our hero the winner and new ruler of the palm-treed paradise.

Coast guardsman POPEYE is ordered to stop Ali Baba and his 40 thieves from robbing desert villages. POPEYE, Wimpy, and Olive take off in his plane but soon crash in a small town. When Ali Baba and his men charge into the town, they subdue POPEYE and take Olive and Wimpy into the desert. All seems lost until POPEYE regains his strength and end Ali's reign of terror.
