I didn't want to like this show but after I realized it was not only in a different universe it was a satirical look at Star Trek that respects the source. It's made to have fun and get lost in a world that is some what familiar. If you are going to watch this show expecting Original Trek, you're going to have a bad time. If you watch this show just for fun that offers a lot of fan service... you might be ok with it. I liked this show better than Discovery.

I get it, you're an old-school Trekkie - at first glance this looks silly at best, sacrilegious at worst. But if you can watch 3 episodes and deny that it's an earnest homage to Trek and a worthy member of the family, you're missing something. It's not just that it's animated that breaks with tradition (though there was The Animated Series), it's the fact that it's firmly in the comedy genre. As skeptical as I was that Star Trek could inhabit that space comfortably, the show has convinced me.

I didn't know they made a new cartoon series until I was at Best Buy this past summer, and I had a ball watching this show, I can't wait until Season 2 is out, I may not have that Paramount+ but this will do, congrats to all who put this show together, and to the fans, this show pays homage to the old school and the new school!!!!
