On the eve of a momentous boxing match, Ray helps Hector handle a person from his past who risks unearthing a secret that could ruin his career. As Bunchy attempts to please a very pregnant Teresa, Abby offers him a lesson in marital compromise. Meanwhile, outside the Fite Club an act of petty larceny leads to a new trainee and renewed sense of purpose for Terry. Bitter from her botched sting operation and out for justice, Detective Muncie uses incriminating evidence against the Donovans to force Rays hand, drawing him further into the path of the Russian Mafia.

An intruder breaks into the Donovan household, forcing the family closer together in unexpected ways. As her 18th Birthday nears, Bridget struggles to maintain her independence, but is pulled back into family dysfunction. In Primm, Mickey schemes to rob a local legends casino with the help of a lounge singer, an erratic electrician, and a man named Ed. Ray visits Belikov in prison to strike a deal, which leads him to meet an enigmatic art dealer tied to his operation. Meanwhile, with Bunchy and Teresas baby due at any minute, the pair navigate their marital woes under lockdown.

Looking for leverage to get the Russian mob off his back, Ray pays a visit to a Hollywood power-player and unearths a secret Ezra shared in the past. Ray comes to Hectors aid in a crisis and makes a deal with an unlikely ally to influence the District Attorney and settle his debt with the Russians. Lena and an ex-girlfriend take Abby for a night on the town, letting loose and helping her confront her fears over a recent health diagnosis. After returning from Primm to see his new grandchild, Mickey offers his boys a job prospect while trying to assimilate back into the family.

With the Russian mob threatening his family, Ray finds himself on a road trip with Mickey to Primm in hopes of recovering money stolen from a local casino owner. Bunchy and Bridget take turns looking after baby Maria when Teresa withdraws to her familys house, seeking refuge from the pressures of being a new mom. When Hector Campos and Damon become fixtures at the Fite Club, Terry gains confidence as a trainer and sees renewed interest in the gym.

Ray finds himself in a holding pattern waiting to see if Belikov will be released from prison and struggling with the prospect of putting a pimp back out on the street. Art dealer, Sonia Kovitsky, invites him to a breast cancer benefit where he encounters some former clients and becomes further entrenched in her operation. As Teresa spirals into a postpartum depression, Bunchy relies on Abby to care for Maria leading up to the baptism. Meanwhile, Mickey goes to great lengths to convince the DA that he was the sole architect behind the Minassian massacre.

Searching for a way to get Mickey out of prison, Ray turns to an old opponent to secure a bartering chip in the form of a less-than-wholesome family comedy star. Rays search for evidence in unearthing a long-buried scandal leads him to an unexpected confrontation with a slick Hollywood agent and a former fixer of Ezras who bears more than a passing resemblance to himself. Meanwhile, without the protection of the Russians, Ray must help Mickey secure his own safety and gain admittance to the secure K6G prison wing.

After a public declaration from Marisol, Hectors rematch with Whittaker is cancelled. Ray enlists the help of Lena and Daryll to ensure the match with Whittaker will proceed. An angry neighbor confronts Ray and Abby about Conors reckless behavior. Teresas family has her committed to a mental hospital after her postpartum depression worsens.

When the head of the Russian mob descends on LA to find out what really happened to Ivan Belikov, Sonia and her young daughter take refuge at the Donovans, throwing her and Abby into uncomfortably close quarters. As both Avi and Lena question Rays loyalty to Sonia, he must decide whether to help her or put his family and friends lives in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Mickey seeks vengeance of his own as he returns to Primm with Bunchy and Teresa to recover his stolen money and rescue Sylvie with unexpected consequences.

Confronted with a crisis involving one of their own, Ray and his team strategize how to use art from the Kovitzsky gallery as leverage. Meanwhile, after Hectors wife informs him that she and their daughter are moving to escape the incest scandal, he reaches a breaking point and enlists Rays help in fixing the situation.

As Ray devises another attempt to save Avi and settle his debts to the mob, FBI agent Frank Barnes detains him before he can execute his plan, forcing Ray to send Mickey to Vegas to place a high-stakes bet on the boxing match between Hector and Whittaker. Barnes offers Ray a chance to turn informant against Dmitri in exchange for protection, leading him to question whether hes turning into his father.

In the season finale, just as Ray believes his deal with Hector will be his family's salvation, Sonia hands over incriminating evidence to Frank Barnes. Forced to wear a wire, Ray attempts to play the Russian Mob off the FBI but falls terribly short when he realizes the mob may know he's snitching. Meanwhile, Mickey moves to cash in on the big fight, which instead leads him to a discovery that could help Ray against both adversaries.
