On the very first Sunday after Harmony & Hope's installation at Calvary, the Greenleaf family's united front shatters. Lady Mae steps in to do damage control in Grace's absence and is forced to face Mac's ghost and her own stained reputation. Despite Jacob's protests, Kerissa moves forward on finding a buyer for the Real Church land, insisting that Jacob either get on her team or she'll move out without him.
4 A Common Enemy
9/24/19
Bob Whitmore returns to Memphis to remind Grace that he is the one in charge and to firmly encourage her to consider a new idea he has for Calvary. On a mission to uncover what's been going on between Noah and Grace, Charity makes an explosive phone call. Meanwhile, Jacob is pleasantly surprised with the developer's plans for the Real Church land and agrees as a loving gesture to Kerissa. However, just as her dreams of a new home are about to come true, Kerissa discovers a connection that could jeopardize it all.

When Grace confesses to her family not all of the Greenleafs are on her side. The situation is complicated by police, lies, affairs, and the interests of Harmony & Hope.
7 Reunited
10/15/19
The Bishop plans a romantic surprise for Lady Mae, but it goes sideways when Grace, Jacob, and Charity's separate pursuits collide and combust. Meanwhile, Lady Mae learns that her name is being erased from the scholarship fund at Calvary. She sets out to protect her legacy, but is instead confronted by her past, intimately and profoundly.
8 Surprise!
10/22/19
Lady Mae and Bishop try to subvert Harmony & Hope's plans while Grace is torn between playing the obedient pastor for Judee Whitmore and participating in her parents' schemes.
9 God's Justice
10/29/19
As Judee Whitmore courts the deacon board for votes on a new governance structure, Bishop makes a bold opposing move. Jacob and Kerissa pursue opportunities to mend the wounds between them, while Phil and Charity's relationship is threatened by a revelation from his past. Ultimately, Grace must face the impossible choice she's always feared; what is “right” has never been less clear.
10 Gratitude
11/5/19
The fallout continues as Bob Whitmore returns to Calvary to handle the power vacuum left behind from the events of 409. Phil asks Charity for a very important “yes.” Fernando Amable gives Kerissa information illuminating the Greenleaf mansion's hazy past, and possibly gaining her the home she's been seeking all along. Lady Mae receives an offer that would achieve her dream and potentially rescue Calvary, but at significant cost. Grace, unmoored and uncertain, begs God for guidance.

About this show

“Greenleaf” centers on the journey of estranged daughter and disillusioned preacher Grace Greenleaf (Merle Dandridge) who has returned home after 20 years on the occasion of the mysterious death of her sister, Faith. As she reenters the world of Calvary Fellowship World Ministries, the Memphis megachurch run by her powerful parents Bishop James Greenleaf (Keith David) and Lady Mae Greenleaf (Lynn Whitfield) ,it becomes evident that things are not as virtuous as they seem and that the family’s outward display of faith hides sin and misdeeds.

This show never disappoint me. It is intriguing. The everyday issues of life and church are addressed. Things that most people are not willing to talk about, those many family and congregational secrets. I also love the way the show allow us to see the issues that we are seeing in our society today, ie police brutality, molestation, adultery, family secrets, black lives matter, regrets, past sins, generational curses, greed, social status quo. I could go on and on.Thank you to the writers .

Greenleaf provides its audience to see preachers and christians as people with every day struggles (sinners save by grace) who has to account and reconcile their daily living with the man above.. I appreciate the fact, that it allows us to see christians struggling with variend life concerns and hippocracy that has permeated over the years in black churches (i.,e., preachers sleeping with members of their congregation, non acceptance of people who has alternative life styles , rape, etc., etc.,).

I'm really in love with this show. As a Christian, I have a hard time finding shows that eliminates a conviction after watching. I mainly enjoy it because it shows the 1st family in leadership position yet dealing with the struggles of life. It addresses lots of family drama, relatable to every age group, and most position in the church , it's modern, and from a biblical prospective. Love that it address sexual immorality from several positions in the church! Love this show!
