David is upset now he realises Gail has a boyfriend. Sarah manages to calm him down much to Gail and Martin's relief. David asks if he can spend the rest of the holidays at Martin's flat and they agree to let him. Matt and Charlie are reconciled. Matt decides that he doesn't want to lose Charlie. Ruth Audsley asks Hayley if she can talk to her alone. Ruth was a friend of Hayley's before her operation when she was Harold. Ruth tells Hayley that she is very uncomfortable with the situation as she cannot possibly condone the abduction of a child and also she admits that she used to have very strong feelings for Hayley when she was a man. Ruth had always hoped they would become boyfriend and girlfriend. Hayley is upset as she never realised.
