Older generations have been complaining about younger generations since the dawn of civilization. For thousands of years, younger generations have been accused of being lazy, arrogant, disrespectful, and foolish. Sometimes older generations see these qualities in the youth of their day and thereby blame younger generations for the societal decline. But in the case of “millennials,” they’ve been accused of “killing” nearly every socio-economic thing. Why have older generations and the media chosen to paint millennials in such a murderous light?
