WHY CAN'T I STOP HITTING AND HURTING MY CHILDREN?

Today MAURY meets mothers who can't control their anger toward their children—and it's ruining their families. Lela confesses she often violently lashes out at her four children. She admits that she calls them hurtful names, she scolds them and gets physical with them. Lela says she loves her kids very much and she feels horrible about how she treats them but she can't control her rage and wants help. Steven says his marriage is falling apart because of the way his wife Mattie treats their children. Mattie says she loses her temper with them constantly because ""they don't listen."" Steven tells MAURY that if she doesn't change, he is going to leave her and take the kids with him. Family therapist Dr. Brenda Wade is going to help these mothers get to the root of their anger and help them control their cruel and abusive behavior towards their children.
