The policemen are on the trail of Paolo Bonsini, the main suspect in the murder of Gioia. A new episode of domestic violence puts an end to the love story between Eva and Marco: Eva takes refuge at her father's house, while Marco decides to leave Lagonero. Leaving the city, however, the policeman runs into Sofia, who drives distraught through the streets of the village. Suspicious of the woman's condition, he decides to follow her home
