Sans chocolats et autres sucreries, la vie serait moins douce ! Certains en profitent pour s'empiffrer, en oubliant que le sucre peut leur causer des caries, les faire grossir et surtout provoquer un diabète irréversible ! Fred et Jamy ont été embauchés comme animateurs de colonie de vacances ! Mais attention, c’est une colo un peu particulière, où il n’y a que des enfants atteints de diabète : le centre de séjour d’éducation thérapeutique de l’Association d’Aide aux jeunes diabétiques à Abriès. Le diabète est une maladie caractérisée par un excès de sucre dans le sang. Il n’y a pas un mais des diabètes : le diabète de type I, qui touche notamment les enfants, et le diabète de type II, que l’on appelle aussi « diabète gras », qui concerne en particulier les personnes souffrant d’un excès de poids. En France, environ 2 millions de personne en seraient atteintes. Et près de 200 000 personnes ignorent qu’elles ont cette maladie !
