Nous consommons toujours plus d'électricité et pour satisfaire cette demande 24h sur 24h, été comme hiver, le courant qui arrive chez nous fait un long voyage. Cette semaine Fred va suivre les routes de l'électricité au côté des lignards et des aiguilleurs qui gèrent le réseau. Jamy, lui a installé son mini-labo dans un point névralgique de la distribution électrique : un poste de transformation du courant haute-tension. Fred rencontre Régis Magnac le directeur des travaux héliportés de la société RTE qui possède toutes les lignes haute tension en France soit près de cent mille kilomètres de lignes et embarque à bord d'un hélicoptère pour une visite au plus près de ces impressionnants pylônes. Jamy nous explique comment l'électricité est produite en France, essentiellement par les centrales nucléaires. Puis Fred assiste à une spectaculaire réparation de lignes haute tension par des ouvriers très spécialisés, les lignards, qui opèrent dans une nacelle tractée par un hélicoptère.
