Le 16 décembre 2011, le cargo TK Bremen s’échoue sur la côte sud du Morbihan, en Bretagne. Le 13 janvier dernier, le navire de croisière Costa Concordia fait naufrage devant l’île de Giglio, en Toscane. Ces deux évènements récents illustrent à nouveau les multiples dangers de la mer.
Avec 11 millions de kilomètres carrés d’espaces maritimes, la France se place au deuxième rang mondial derrière les USA. Qui s’occupe de la surveillance du trafic maritime au large de nos côtes? Quels sont les moyens de sauvetage pour secourir un navire est en détresse ou u n homme à la mer ?
Pour le savoir, Fred est allé en Bretagne, rejoindre la flottille 24F de la Marine nationale, puis l’Abeille Bourbon, un remorqueur destiné aux opérations de sauvetage. Jamy, lui, s’est installé dans les locaux de la préfecture maritime, à Brest.
