En Italie : la fosse aux murènes

Clémentine and Pinocchio arrive in 15th century Venice just in time to see Leonardo da Vinci and his companion attacked by Count Cafardo's men. Cafardo wants Leonardo's plans, but Leonardo tries to throw them into the canal. Pinocchio collects them and flees with them. Leonard takes Clémentine to his house. He explains to her that the plans are those of a weapon which should allow Venice to repel the Turks.

Clémentine finds Pinocchio, but they are captured by Cafardo. After advice from Malmoth, Cafardo decides to torture his prisoners by threatening to immerse them in a pit filled with moray eels. Clémentine manages to free herself and cause chaos, allowing the duo to escape. They are picked up by a masked man. Clémentine arrives in time to return the plans to Leonard in front of the Council of Ten. Cafardo is arrested for murder and treason. The masked man reveals his true identity. Héméra comes to look for Clémentine, Pinocchio and the old merchant.
