A mother reports that her son is still inside a museum after closing time. When the alarm goes off, security assumes it’s triggered by the boy, but it turns out a highly valuable painting has been stolen. Dries and Esther quickly discover that the mother lied—her son was kidnapped, and she was forced to tell this story. The child is found soon afterward but is heavily drugged. Dries and Esther discuss the case with Hein Berg, who believes the kidnapping is the top priority, but an insurance representative, a former policeman, disagrees. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve investigate the brutal assault of a gay man who was attacked after leaving his favorite bar.
