Hilda is worried about Stan's health. Jack asks Alf to cash the cheque but Alf suspects it was stolen from Mike and refuses. Billy buys a ten-year old Mercedes. Fred and Jack go to see Frank Tyler to ask if he'd make the cheque out to Jack as he's the company secretary. Tyler guesses they'd rather have cash and promises it to them in the morning. Bet talks Tony into taking her to the bonfire on the Red Rec. Curly spends £3 on a rocket and ceremoniously sets it off.
